Our Mission

We understand that having something wrong with your heart is scary. Whatever your issue is, you want to feel like you’re truly being cared for. We pride ourselves on knowing our patients by name. When you call us with a problem on the weekend or after hours, you can rest assured that there is only one physician who will call you back – one who knows you personally.

Dr. Michael R. Weber, MD, FHRS

After growing up on Long Island, I was looking forward to coming back and serving the community I grew up in. After attending college at Duke University, I completed my medical school training at Stony Brook University Hospital, followed by internal medicine at Georgetown. I finished my education with cardiovascular and EP training at Montefiore Hospital in New York. Now, as a cardiac electrophysiologist (EP), my focus is on abnormal heart rhythms.

When deciding what’s best for you, I follow a simple rule: If I had what you had, and I knew what I knew, what would I want to have done?

Each patient presents with a different set of symptoms and medical history. From pacemakers that help regulate a heart rate to surgeries that prevent palpitations, what I find most rewarding about my specialty is the long-term, life-altering, positive effects patients experience after undergoing an EP procedure. Everything I do is designed to allow patients to live a normal life. I understand that patients may initially be frightened by the prospect of undergoing an EP procedure. But, I take great pride in the relationships I have established and always take the time to explain the complex workings of the heart and the intervention I feel is most appropriate in straight-forward language. Often, I’ll even creating drawings to assist in communicating.

My practice is unique in that it offers a small office feel with the same level of care offered by a major medical center. Through close relationships with well-known hospitals in the area, now Stony Brook University Hospital, I can offer my patients treatments that utilize the newest technology and advancements in the field of EP. But this doesn’t change the fact that when patients arrive at the office they are greeted by Barbara, and when they call for help on the weekend they get the only doctor ever on call: me.
